Hey now, I like sniffin wood too! (and occasionally I might lick it if it's a good hard wood ................ to help identify it)
Yep, there's a real good chance it is the Cucumber Tree. I have a couple in my wood pile as well as silver maple. That reminds me, I need to go back and do a clean sweep. I see the stumps are full of sprouts.
Squinting to read YOUR shrunken text, Miss Snarky Mouth But yes, I see what you did there. Well played hoardin' sistah, well played....
Well, I have been known to lick some cucumbers (at least that's what they kind of looked like), but not a cucumber tree. See, A cucumber tree is classified as a SOFT hardwood and though it is capable of putting out around 15 to 16,000 mbtu's per cord, it's not really a good HARD wood! AND, I have been known to lick lots of hard wood s!
You guys, and gals are nuts! All I wanted to know was what the hell kinda WOOD it was. You all remind me of my Biology students a 100 years ago
Yeah, you should have known if you get me and Eric VW on a thread together it's going somewhere off course.
