HDRock do get a nice score. I'll take pine if it's free. Great shoulder season wood and good for taking the chill out of the house. Got about half a cord of three year old pine at the moment.

I recently got 4 Cords of big azz oak delivered, going to be a while before that is ready to burn, I need more faster drying wood for space issues, not as much ash as there was a while ago

Space is my problem too. Got wood all over the place in various stages of drying. Going to organize it better.

Organizing it without having to move it is the issue

Haha! That is the hard part. I think I'm going to use the property line on one side. The only thing is the property dips down to the line, and humping the wood up in the winter isn't fun.

    Humping wood in the winter?
That's why I married my wife... She loves to do that.....:D
She keeps both of us warm, that's for sure.:)

We are talking about marital duties, right?- Since my surgery last November, my better half has loaded the wheelbarrow from the stacks, run the stove, cleaned out the ashes, loaded the tote liner close to the basement door, fetched more firewood, split her own kindling, and so on. She's takin up my slack pretty gooder.

And you thought I meant "Humping Wood!"

It's too hot to do anything here, real feel for the past 2 days has been over 103. As for Central Air I wouldn't live without it. As for firewood it can wait another 3 weeks or so before we start processing. Got a nice load of Black Cherry in today it's too dark to go out right now and take pictures plus I am beat. It seems the hotter it gets the less people want to cook so they come out to eat or order to go. If it's not raining or too hot I will post some picture in the morning. Make sure you guys don't over do it, free wood ain't worth risking your health.

This end of the state isn't any better. I've got a couple cords of free wood waiting to be split and I can't see anytime soon it's going to be cool enough to do it. Problem is the rounds are sitting on the driveway.

Great loads of maple! If that is cut split and stacked you will be able to burn it next year easily!
