Looking back, last ran the P43 on June 9 (2015 it was June 28th!). I've had some cool mornings, and one cool weekend - but since I don't have AC, I've lived with it as it doesn't take long for the house to heat back up into the 80's with the heat we have had the last two weeks. This week will be a nice break with temps in the 70's. I turned off the window fans when they came on last night (they are on a timer) since it was plenty cool inside.

I just could not wait, I picked this up this Quad Classic Bay CB1200 wicked cheap last Wed night!
It is MFD=2,000 which means heavy sheet metal but has the updated clear control box! ! ! Even though there was nothing wrong I popped in a new Exhaust blower for good measure! It is quiet as a mouse and cranks out 50,000 BTUs!!!
See some work I did just in the back!
Clean my Quad and Pimp up the exhaust blower! | Firewood Hoarders Club

    It works perfectly! ! !

    WOW!!! Great score Don!!!!

Yes, I clean mine like that. You need to be careful not to mar the shaft with the visegrip though. I have two blowers and just swap them and then clean them for the next time I swap them.

Thanks, had to drop everything and drive 1.5 hours one way to get it.!
Good Idea on the Blowers! These stoves are fantastic stoves! How often do you dump the ash pan?
I love the big hopper and large ash pans! :) I dumped a whole can of Satin Black paint in the back after removing the exhaust and convection blowers. Now I have to paint the outside. The outside is the old shinny black enamal with the gold trim. I am thinking of doing the whole stove in Satin Black and the trim in Ultra High Temp Flat Aluminum header paint and to add a little sheen to the flat aluminum, I will spray the flat aluminum with 3 coats of high temp clear engine paint. What do you think?

I'm somewhat anal about it and vacuum it out every couple days.

I added a new comb blower a few weeks ago, the bearing on the original one started grinding pretty good by the end of the season. I painted a good portion of it this year too just to spruce it up a bit.

I always like a touch of aluminum trim here and there. It'll make the stove look sharp.

What do you think of just pulling out the grill on your stove and painting just that flat aluminum?

    Good summer project!
To do a real pro job:
    After removing the grill
    1. Clean it well by removing dust and oil with Acetone from Home Depot! It helps the paint stick better. :)
Do not rub too hard it does remove the paint!
    2. Spray too thin coats of VHS ultra High Temp flat aluminum from the auto parts store. Two light coats are better than one heavy coat!
    3. Then spray 3 coats of high temp clear glossy engine paint from the auto parts store.
    4. Re-Install grill into stove.
Then say all winter, I am glad I did that last summer! LOL
