Please, Please see someone about it tonight - emergency or walk-in clinic. There isn't too much they can do about the toe but at least it has been reported for the future. I assume you filled out any paperwork at work?

May not look bad. But then it gets infected...makes its way to your bloodstream...and then you're in a real bad spot. Get it looked at.

Yeah, hope you reported it...workers comp stuff gets a lil messy if you wait too long to report. And don't just report it to the doc as a "at home accident". Some years back I unfortunately made the mistake of reporting a work accident as personal because the shop owner asked me to, so that his WC rates didn't skyrocket. He said he would pay anything the insurance didn't, this was right after the accident, I was starting to go into shock and reluctantly agreed to do as he asked.
When the bills came in he gave me a real hard time about the whole thing and said that he never agreed to this deal...he finally paid after I threatened to turn him into the WC people...things at that job went downhill from there ever after that (surprise surprise right?)
    Lesson learned...the hard way...as usual.
    Feel better man!
(my wife has a big purple toe right now from a lil incident with a thin plastic grocery bag and a large can of fruit, while wearing flipflops. This was a couple weeks back and she basically has the nail just band-aided on)

Did it crush the safety shield in your boot? Get it looked at for sure. If it goes septic, you won't have to worry about the new job interview. It is nothing to screw around with..............get it taken care of.........Good Luck.

Yeah, there you go. The loyalty really paid off by staying at work and finishing out the day, huh? The rest of your life without a toe....!
    Sheesh!

I probably would have done it too. Taught to suck it up and work through the pain. Really sucks though.

At one point in my life (very young) I may have but I have seen employers that do not give a squat about their workers and are good and making their employees think they care....even to the point of lying bald faced to them.
Remember, the boss cares for the business and uses the employees to hopefully better the business....not to better the employee.
As soon as the employee becomes a burden/liability....the loyalty is kaput.

You have to be true to and take care of yourself. Not let it go all day long!!!:hair::mad:

Wow. Just.....wow. Wish you were closer. I need 1 guy like you as an employee ....with your attitude and work ethic. Here's to a speedy recovery from the injury.

First this guy saves bunch of dogs he doesn't like from a fire unselfishly, now he loses his toe at work. Dude....your a machine. Don't forget that.

I am wondering that if he gave it the attention right away if the toe could have been saved.
