Sold a pellet stove yesterday to a local guy.

Decided I did not need the extra Advantage 2 T and it was taking up a lot of floor space in the basement.

Fella came to look at the Austroflamm insert and fellin love with the big Whit instead.

Fall is coming, likely sell all the extra units. THEN I CAN CAN BUY AND FIX UP MORE.

Got the new puter running real smooth now and most all my files etc transferred from the other machine

The last OS upgrade here resulted in many GB of little files being moved took a long time.

Before I started this project I copied everything I wanted over to a Whizz Drive.

    Went fairly easy

I switched back to Chrome from The Fox

Really liking the Radeon 6870 card with HDMI
Get good Digital sound across to the big screen as well as great graphics.

Looking forward to getting the water cooling setup on the beast, but this needs to wait a bit.

Don't need it, but will be way cool looking rig

Hope things progress fast and WELL (The pickles too)

Recovery from a stroke is a real job.

Been 4 years since my go round, and still fooling around with things that don't quite work right.

Sort of like a good batch of pickles, IT TAKES TIME.

The 9th of August AND WE HAVE A FIRE THIS MORNING.

Never has this happened in all the years we have lived in this house. (22 years)

Normally we shut down the first week of June and don't lite up again until late September at the earliest, and some years we have ran into October before first fire.

Interestingly we are looking at low 90's F by the end of the week.

New puter is running great. Would really like to be able to jump right onto the water cooling system, butttttttttttttttt :makeitrain"ya know what I mean :(

Couple little bugs yet, but nothing that can't be ignored.

Digital sound thing, and sound works off and on with a few games ????

Works great in videos and stuff, just goofy with the games.

Gotta be a bug in the code.

Loving the Radeon HD 6870 CARD. Best part was the price at $40

Does your system have an analog sound output as well?

Might have that set as default. I've got to change mine.

Analogue is available, but in order to use it I would likely have to switch to VGA.

As soon as I went to HDMI the analogue connection stopped working.

    Yessss, "unlike the hot weather"

Big brown truck stopped and we drooled on all the goodies. Didn't have too much time to mess with em as We had to go shopping as its momma B-day tomorrow. Couldn't decide between cake or the lemon marang pie. So we got both. Some flowers, Bubble bath and a couple gift cards. Gave her the flowers tonight and the pie. We'll take her out to the mom and pops paste place and have the cake after dinner tomorrow.

Depending on how you have it setup, you can.

I am doing hdmi video, but have my sound going analog.

I'm not using the hdmi audio which comes out of the monitor because it sounded like hell(crappy built in speakers). Instead my audio out goes via analog to a speaker/sub set.

    I'm running ubuntu 16.04 LTS.

What a beautiful day. Low 80's, gentle breeze, and the humidity is 34%. Hard to beat that. Nice to get out a little. The blueberries are in and the crop is good despite the dry conditions. Several friends have gone to the U-Pick, full crops everywhere.
Time to pull out the peas in plant some greens for the fall harvest.

Saturday we had a small crew in the building. Cut all the collar ties and the 45 degree braces for the beams. these are 8" X 8" 45 degree cuts, so I ran the saw on both sides, and then its sawzall time with a long demo blade on it. Cut 12 like that and ten 6" X 6" for the rear shed roof. I had just started when another member arrived and said "what can I help with?" he cut them all! Installed the framing for the front wall as well.

We planned to hire out the actual roofing. We were to prep the roof with ice and water, felt paper, drip and rake edge, and starter course all the way around. Then these two guys were coming to lay 25 square of shingles in a day for $600. Found out on Saturday that those guys are not around anymore so we started roofing Sunday along with the prep work. Completed it yesterday as the weather is about to give us another blast of 90's and humid.

got a donation of a restored Fuller and Johnson 32Volt DC generator from the late 1930's i'd say. Runs on Kerosene after starting on gas. Cool, very unique piece. I forgot to get a pic.
