Knowing how to deal with the military BS is more than half the battle. One of my techs is retired Air Force, Master Sgt and boy does he tell some stories of dealing with the chit.

One area hes was good as was getting into trouble but he also knew that you can get away with ANYTHING once, just make sure you do not repeat that same offense or your azz is grass.
Lucky for him he knew all the angles and was very good at his jobs in both IT and medic; plus he will go to any lengths to get the job accomplished with whatever he is given.

we have been fortunate to have a good summer. The garden is good. We have had a few good times. Could have done more, run around more, but chose to stay close to home and enjoy what we have right here. I hope the rest of the season will be as nice.
Fall will come. Then we have fresh apples, potatoes etc. So it darken earlier every day now. I have even seen some leaves turning, but I really think that is from the drought.

Oh yea Last night oldest son and his wife had a "reveal" party with fmily and friends to find out the sex of their Christmas baby. It appears we are having a male grand baby and his name will be Blake. I have named him Abner. My son thinks its funny however her family maybe not so much.

Have a HOG meeting today, so riding there (about 30 miles) and possibly joining the group ride after. I'm not one to ride in large groups, so it depends on how many are going. Otherwise I'll just take the long, long way home.

Electrical work, removing a non-functioning ceiling fan/light, watering the shrub/perennial garden I put in last year, plus all the other usual Saturday chores, I took the bike out and washed it. Got all the road kill (mosquitos, moths etc from my morning rides to work) and water spots / road spray off, then waxed it. I then used a quick detailer that really brings out the color (merlot sunglow) and gives it a "wet" look. The people at HOG will think I've gotten a new bike - they've never seen it clean. Since this was taken about 7:30 last night and dark clouds were covering what was left of the sun, the picture doesn't show the color, or cleanliness but does show I tempted Mother Nature (she didn't deliver though).

Hey, as long as it looks good on the outside it must be a good job right? :D

Couldn't make too much of a mess of it. Had an electrician come in last fall (!!!) to move that box while the carpenter was here putting in a pocket door. All new wiring, I just had to swap out the switch for the timer. The electrician was actually supposed to put the timer in, but apparently he misunderstood my plans even though I left him the stuff I wanted put in. Instead, he put in a new switch that he had - and of course got a nice markup for "materials supplied".

Yea I don't like big groups either. Today will be fun, 3 of us who ride alike, not pokey but not flying . Wifey is going, weather looks great. Not sure where we are going, I wanted to head up Rt.22 and then head towards Vermont. Buddy wants to head back into Catskills. Either way it will be fine. We will stop somewhere and grab a lunch.
Last Sunday I pulled the front wheel and polished it up as it was lookin pretty crappy. then worked on polishing the fork lowers . To do the lowers correctly will take a few days, will have to wait till this winter.
Your glide looks great bogieb !! Have a great ride today

The weather has finally broken (cool dry Canadian air) so we are heading out to a picnic. Going to Winslow park in Freeport. Has a beach, a playground and picnic tables. Kids should have a good time.

We have a big beautiful garden spider. He got confused and set up camp on the side of the house instead of the garden.
