    My back is still presenting me with issues.... Lost my last grandparent last week, lost one of our mechanical designers at work this week, and the firepit just got rained on to a smolder.....

    Is the house vinyl sided already? Retrofitting j-channel is royal PITA
    If the windows are face frame nailed its easier to fit a new nailed flange window and fill the void with PVC brick mold trim or flat PVC to eliminate any future maintenance.

    Yes basod we have vinyl siding already and original windows so I would think face nailed exterior.

    Met with some good old friends tonight and ate and drank well. Little bit of rain after a hot & humid day.

    Thanks, schlot. He distanced himself from the whole family years ago, but seeing him at the viewing, and being in his shop, man it brought back all the old memories.....

    I admit it....I was pretty misty eyed, but mostly because my closest(& favorite) uncle came down from NY, and to see him mourn the loss of his dad was tough....:tears:

    We spent the day on the lake today. Beautiful day today, and we have two tired Labradors now. We have a bonfire going outside, but we had to move inside as the mosquitoes were demolishing my wife.

    That really can be rough, when there is a divide or distance between someone you lose. It's hard sometimes to be ok with not feeling much.

    I was just talking to my bride tonight about when my dad's mom died years ago I never knew her because of a huge divide. In fact my dad left home at the age of 13 and worked as a hired hand rather than live with her and his step father.

    Live and learn right?
