What's up today (bullchiting) thread.

It was 99 percent humidity this morning so about the only thing that I did get done was take the garbage to recycle.

 

Morning low was 68* - that just doesn't happen around here! After a short shower, just enough to get everything wet so I don't want to mow, it is supposed to head its way to 90 and some scattered TS's will be thrown in. Went to the dump and Aubuchon's before starting any work on the house. Unhooked all the plumbing for the vanity, moved it out of the bathroom and as of now, there is another coat of mud down. My skills with mud, never great to begin with have really nose-dived and don't seem to be coming back with practice

 

For the next three nights they have us heading to, 53,51 and a nice cool 49.

 

Haven't started the vinyl yet. Working my way down. Started with a entire new roof, new 2 ton central air and high efficiency 2 stage propane furnace. Then all new triple pane gas filled windows and new doors (2 to go). Referb 3 deck/porches..............and on we march!!!!!!!

 

I've been doing vinyl. Second time now. Not much of a curve, I'd suggest to watch your finish cuts on the trim though. That can make or break a decent vinyl job.

Tell you the truth, if the house wasn't vinyl on three sides already I would not use vinyl. Just my personal opinion.

If you are getting new vinyl windows make sure you get then with a built in channel for the vinyl siding. That way you don't have to use J-channel on the sides of the window.

 

Neighbors decided to shoot some fireworks last night....at 3:30 AM.

 

Ya, the ones I grind are about 44,000 lbs when we send them to scrap. Each roll costs about $45,000 new. The big rolls cost closer to 70k a piece. I've been working at the mill for 4 months now. Can't beat the money and the benefits, but I'd rather be outside. But that's what doing tree work on my off days is for.

 

I believe that is yet another reason you need an ar. Mag dumps tend to quiet the neighbors down.

 

These are the same neighbors that party till 3 AM about 3 nights a week. Complete with fighting and loud music. A couple weeks ago someone leaving the party was killed in a single car drunk driving incident. He was going 102 and hit a tree. Cars...diesel trucks...and ATVS racing in front of the house. Drunk chicks walking home asking to use my bathroom. I am a patient man but last night was the straw that broke my back. Game on.

Yes, I've already called the law before...a couple times.

 

Unfortunately sounds like you have a "IDIOT SQUAD" living next door. That would be a PITA to deal with for sure...................

 

Lots on the honey do list today. Landfill, tree dump, moved furniture, paid some bills and picked up brake pads for the truck before I was able to do some electrical work.

I added two outlets and started installing a new circuit for the window air conditioner and one for the relocated tv/entertainment center. Then I fixed the sagging couch springs that had been calling my name for way too long.

Pizza and a beer are calling me after a shower. Temps are pretty decent so hopefully we will have a fire in the firepit...that is if a certain someone can stay awake.
