We are in a severe drought here in MA. Down 7.5" of rain this season. Trees are looking pretty stressed. We'll take whatever we can get.

Unless the most recent forecast changes, we won't be getting much rain.

Awesome article. They are so small, though.

They said the rain would start at 9, it's raining pretty good at the moment.

I hope so because we didn't get much rain, it did cool things down about 12 degrees to 76.

Same temp change here too. Radar shows rain headed your way, it missed us.

We have some storms tracking towards our area with possible hail (pea size being reported) and some wind, they were tracking above us but dropped down so I hope we get it.

Scattered storms around now, here in Pa. Anxious to get home in N.H. Friday. Hope all is well up there. Big storms the week after we left up there, and more scheduled for today.

No storms again yesterday, more warnings for this afternoon. Who knows. I don't like the t storms, but some rain has to be better than no rain. The bad part about the t storms here is the destruction from the winds and flash flooding taking out the roads. They got one crop of hay, but doubtful they will get more. That is going to hurt.

The flickering of the lights last night was a transformer fire on a pole about 4 miles north of us and on route 11 about 16 miles north of us they had a pole with two transformers down.

The info from the pole with a fire came from the scanner and the other from a person at the Post Office today.

Power out last night for 1,636 customers in Potsdam, Colton, Pierrepont areas
    Saturday, August 6, 2016 - 11:10 am
About three hours after a brief but strong thunderstorm passed through the area, 1,636 National Grid electric customers lost power early today.

The storm swept through north-central St. Lawrence County at about 10 p.m.

Shortly after 1 a.m., first 298 customers in the Colton and Pierrepont area and then 1,338 customers in Potsdam and to the west were without power.

There were also small outages near Waddington and Hopkinton last night.

National Grid’s outage map show power to all those those customers has been restored, but two more small outages, affecting fewer than five customers each, near Winthrop and in the village of Potsdam, popped up this morning, but according to information on National Grid’s outage page, they expected power to be restored by this afternoon.

I think Thor is upset. Lots of thunder, wind gust, and downpouring. Lets see how long he stays angry!
10 min.s later, the sun is out. but the temp did drop from 85 to 70. Don't know how long that will last. Radar doesn't look promising for more rain. Really need it.

Three days of a nice soft rain would be great.

We had sporadic rain this morning and this afternoon. Very small amount, and all the big storms went around us.
