If the rain holds out I have a long list lol.

I have to fix my log arch, a gear on the winch broke.

Need to weld on a new anchor on the log arch that hold logs off the ground, the rebar snapped. 30+ksi?

I need to mill a thousand bft. Or so. Log pile is annyoing. And they are drying.

I have trunks strangely laying(tops gone for BTUs) around that I need to log arch and mill.

I have a dozen hemlock that need pulling from the woods.

I have about 3 cords that's half split and need something to stack it on.

I have about 2 cords in my trailer parked next to my house needing to be stacked for this winter. Loaded it and dropped it off last night.

It's more of a summer list lol.
I might have add. I might not do any of it.

Going to rain here Sat. morning so no work outside. On Sun. going to break down the large rounds on my Timberwolf and then bring them to the DR-28 for quick splitting. No stacking just piling them till it gets cooler. One of my wood share guys is supposed to come Sun. morning and cutup a cord or so, he gets to take half and leaves the other half for me. A 4 hour plan starting at 7 and done by 11 before the heat, they're call for 85 degrees and in the mid 60's for the morning.

On an off note in case anybody noticed, I finished my Topsoil screener and screened the 30 yards of sand you can see part of in the second picture I posted above. If any of you FHC members that live close by ever need anything screened, Compost, Topsoil, Sand or black top millings let me know. I will work a deal that's good for both of us.

I was offered a supposedly very large sugar maple last night by the village mayor. It's already down, he just wants it gone - he even offered to pay me to take it! :dex: Probably should have kept my mouth shut, but I told him I'd be honored to serve my community, and that the firewood would be payment enough. :handshake: So he bought me a couple shots of apple crown royal instead. :D I love living in a small town.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed about the monster maple behind my garage too. My tree service buddy was supposed to help me with it a couple weeks ago, but I guess his wife vetoed that plan. She's on board this time around, so hopefully ma nature cooperates too.

Maybe a little, Id like to buck, split and put up some of the apple and locust I snagged and I should start of cutting cookies for my niece's wedding.

I have to make a landfill run in the am and do some electrical in the living room first. Have to love an old house and the lack of electrical outlets. :)

Our town can't give downed trees to anyone. It would look like they are playing favorites so they bring it to the dump. NO brain no pain I asked why they didn't sell it and maybe help lower our taxes.

With my house and business plus my Garage 102' by 26' and just over 2 acres I pay just about $23,000 for county and school taxes plus another 3 grand for water and sewer. $500.00 a week and yet you wouldn't believe the people making offers on my property because of the Casino and the 4 lanes they are turning my road into. Just heard they are putting a Verizion office and a Auto Zone in two doors down from me in the old Schenectady Seed plot. The planning board meets on the 8th to approve it.

It's not a town tree - I think it's actually at his dad's house. We went to HS together - he's a year older than me.

Oh yeah! He said a lot of it is in large pieces, so we'll see. If they're big enough I'll be milling them for sure.

I would market and sell, I doubt things will get better anytime soon. That's just an outside non involved opinion though. Don't know how much it means to you or how important it all is.
I love upstate more than anything buts it's this stuff I can't stand.
    I dream of NH.

Retiring next year and entertaining offers at present. Thinking of Galway looking at a home on 12 wooden acres. DOT projects another 6,000 cars a day to be added to the 17,500 that drive down this road everyday. I think a Sonic would do great here but my buddy owns Jumpin' Jacks so I am stuck between a rock and a hard spot.
