Got a call this morning to come to the honeyhole. Scored 2 pickup loads of these cherry cutoffs. Most are the longer ones. About 40 are the small books. These aren't as big as my white oak blocks but i'll take it. Buddy told me that the white oak is done. Red oak big blocks are up next and hes starting on that tonight. I can start picking those up in the morning. 002.JPG

There is a good market for craft sized lumber. Slice those blocks with a band saw into 1/4" thick and smaller lumber. $$$

More good stuff, you go man :tree:
The long cherry would make some nice turned table legs, looks like it's long enough

That is surely a nice score. Lots of other potential in those blocks.

    Grilling planks too.

You should see the silver maple blocks he has. Same as the white oak I got. Probably 600+. I turned them down cause I knew the oak was there.

After I grind through all this red oak I'm getting if they go back to running pine or soft maple for a while I'm gonna pound them out.

I don't have a clue. Guy down the hard road works at the mill and had a pile of them in his barn. I stopped one day and talked to him and we worked out a deal that I couldn't pass up.
