Not a wood seller, just a guy had an ash tree in his yard split it up to make a few bucks

The wood still looks really good! The ash still standing around here are getting questionable. I hope to cut some off my brothers property on Lake Huron this fall/winter and his are still pretty solid.

The one I cut a week or so ago out here was still good solid stuff.
Got another one I have to get 16 inches I think but, I don't want to drop it in the creek so, I'm going to have to cut the wire fence out and repair it when I'm done.,
Smaller ones are still good too.

Great deal, you might say you took advantage of the seller. That load is worth $90.00 all day long here and yes there are people who pay that kind of money. I only have one customer that burns just because he likes to watch the fire in his fireplace. Asked if he thought about an insert to get some heat out of the fire and he answered me like I was asking a stupid question, " I wouldn't be able to watch the fire then would I " Stupid me I guess.

Is this where you were cutting a couple years back? Is this perhaps where you also screwed up your back?

Yes but this is in his fireplace with no thought of capturing the heat that is escaping or the money going up the chimney.

So far the ash in my wood lot look alive but I know the EAB is in the county. When I start removing ash as a part of my thinning process I will start near the roads to get the ones threatening the roads and the power lines.
