got a start on last weeks load ,even with an overcast sky its still hot ,i will just take it slow and steady. i lost the cap to a gas can and a friend shoved a shell on it ,i wish i thought of it, some of you may want to try it ,works great
Wish I could get my hands on some oak like that... I had to go look up your pics from last week - missed em while I was camping. I must need some new tree service friends. My "buddy" stood me up a couple weeks ago on a maple takedown - mind you, this was a paying job. Firewood deliveries were already out of the question - his partner takes it all. Not that I need it or have anywhere to put it. I'm pretty sore about that maple though.
if you were closer i would bury you in wood ,it would be a pleasure to share with you ,plus we could play with this ...
got a bit more done this morning ,a friend grabbed a load and he is thinking of milling the pine logs ,if we do i will grab some pictures of course
Nice work! Milling pine is the only value it has imo. Slabs are worth much more than the work and cost of burning it.
I like having some dry pine around for shoulder season, fast hot fire that doesn't last long enough to overheat the house, saves the gooder wood for cold weather
todays update, another friend took a load today ,he has a tacoma ,the friend who was here yesterday has a f350 ,its amazing to see the difference in load capacity ,it looks like we will mill the pine on saturday ,this pile seems to be going fast.
You got some nice looking wood there, having all the right tools to process it sure makes all the difference, including the shotgun shell spare gas cap.
