Plenty of lake effect to go around in my parts. We can send some to Buffalo. I was in Traverse City last weekend and was surprised to see any open water on Grand Traverse Bay. Doesn't sound like it will be ice free much longer.
Yeah. Lake Erie may be frozen over, but it's the worst winter in 4 yrs (at least) here in Ohio. Been cold and snowy (I like it). I say bring it! I love the cold
I'm about ready to cry 'uncle' and pray for spring. The temps don't bug me but the almost non stop lake effect snow is starting to. I haven't seen bare asphalt on a road in so long I've almost forgotten what pavement looks like. The only bright spot is the packed down snow and ice has filled in all the potholes, so it's a pretty smooth ride.
we've had some record cold this year here, but virtually NO BIG SNOW at all......only little clippers here and there. We've seen several Nor'Easters, but oddly, it warms up enough when they make it to our area it ends up falling as rain....sometimes TORRENTIAL downpours! Heck if it'd have stayed cold during those big storms, we'd have gotten around 4 feet of snow here in a month. But instead, we have around 4" on the ground (BARELY enough to run the sled) and frankly, I'm disappointed.....
I'm concerned about your weather there, Dave......wonder if it has anything to do with that "radio" station up your way? (HAARP) Absolutely nuts....
If it keeps going we'll ride this above 30° f right into Spring Fat chance though, we have a good 2 months left of winter, We'll get our cold temps & hopefully lots of snow back soon .
