Went to my nephews wedding in Vermont this weekend. I had hoped to pick up a few bags of Vermont pellets (wife wasn't happy) but it didn't work out. Not happy about that. But on the bright side, the location (Sugarbush Ski Resort, the weather, the food ) and the wedding were fabulous. My brother invited us to the rehearsal dinner Friday night. Open bar for 2 hours followed by a drunk fest with a cash bar the rest of the night. The wedding itself was open bar for beer and wine all night. Drank some 'Gansett draft (not so good) Friday night and Labatt Blue light draft at the wedding. The Labatt wasn't bad at all. After the keg kicked, switched to PBR pounders for the rest of the night. Right now I'm a pretty tired puppy. I won't want to go to work in the AM, that's for sure.

Still pushing in this heat to get the roof on the Stationary Engine building.
DSCN0399.JPG DSCN0402.JPG Saturday was really unbearable and then the sky opened up and poured. We had to scramble to get tools. The guys thought a cupola would be appropriate so they started one and had just cut the roof when the rain started! Got the gable ends complete and ready for roofing this weekend, along with the majority of the hurricane clips.
Still plenty of punch list items, but we are progressing!

Cool and cloudy here this morning, and loving it.

Yesterday was lovely so I got a few hours of "seat time" on the Little Mahindra 4x4 tractor dragging the 3 point mower around.

Trying to catch up on the mowing before the tall dry stuff catches fire.

Ahhhh yess, the joys of country living.

Still snooping and gathering parts for my new puter.

Thing looks lonely hanging here on the wall :(

Hopefully I can get enough goodies this month to at least get it operational.

Saw on the news this morning we were supposed to get almost an inch of rain today. We had a little bit of light rain tonight but I think it's pretty much done. I'll be surprised if we got more than 1/16th of an inch. We need more than that.

It took 2 days, but I got an inch or so of rain at my place. The forsythia by the garage door has responded by growing several inches (by that, I mean less than a foot) sideways so now it is IN the driveway :picard:. Dang, thought this year I would just get away with the one pruning in spring. Looks like another hard cut back in the next week or to, so no blooms again next year :headbang:.

Total wash out this morning. Not gonna complain as we do really need it. While mother nature's filling the lake back up, We'll work on gear and get ready for the next adventure.

But first, A geezer nap after breakfast..... :)
