My brother and I sell wood on the side. Here's a little glimpse of what we have to offer. I took pictures for a CL ad yesterday, so I thought I'd share them with your guys.

Had a 5*1/2 face cord load go out last night. Load two of three for this winters heat to a loyal customer. image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg

Look likes a great operation. Are you buying logs or do you guys have your own woods?

    Thanks guys
    Thanks.
Both. We own 60 acres that we cut on and hunt. I get my personal wood off the lot and we sell log length off the lot. We buy logs from two different local loggers that I'm friends with that we cut/split for sales. We also do small lot clearing jobs for people and sell all that wood as log length.

This past winter, my boss bought a house on Lake Champlain and wanted all the trees gone. I ended up with 11 loads of hardwood logs and 3 loads of cedar logs. I can get about 5 face cord of logs on the F350.

We have another job to do next spring for a lady we know. No hardwood unfortunately. There's about 40 white pines she wants gone. Luckily for me I'm remodeling my house in all knotty pine. This will be a nice cash paying job. Thankfully I have a hook up with a buddy that sells Timberking sawmills!

Thanks! The mini is great. It's worth it's weight in gold. One of our best investments. It's so nice not having to bend over to buck logs and it keeps your bar out of the ground!

One day late fall cutting some hardwood

This was a 96ft hemlock I cut to build a new woodshed. 27" DBH.
    image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg
    40" maple
    image.jpeg
37" ash on the stump. This was at the house on Lake Champlain. The house was 10ft to the right of that tree.

Really jealous! I wish I could have that much fun in my spare time.

I cut some on the side but without all of the toys and a real steady supply of available trees.

    Great looking set-up guys!

RParrotte, didn't you post last winter some picture of you and your buddy skidding some logs out? Seems there was quite a bit of snow then too.

    Nice setup you have there.

Yes probably. I've posted a few logging pictures over time. We usually get a decent amount of snow here in upstate NY.

Here's the old Farmi winch I used to have. I believe, from some research I've done, it's the second model Farmi ever made. But I could be wrong. Two years ago when my brother bought the mini, he decided to buy a new Farmi winch for his tractor. But decided not to use it. It sat in the pole barn that whole summer and winter. Finally he told me to sell mine and put his on my tractor. They do operate slightly different, maybe I was just use to mine. But I do like having the push blade on the new one vs just legs on my old one.
