Bah use hi volume gas stations. Turn off the fuel line. Shoot the bad acting device(a canon may be needed).

As MAC os have increased exponentially, wouldnt the attraction now be there for hackers and likely have more attacks?

Its a guy thing. Same here but I like having the GPS factory installed in my truck. The times you need it can come in handy.

Like when I was in a very unknown city and wanted the quickest route back to the highway from an area that I really shouldnt have been in for my own safety.

Another handy feature was when I was sitting in heavy Friday night summer traffic on rte 495 in Mass and needed to get to Lowell to make the start of a concert. I loaded the GPS with the destination and told it to avoid highways. BAM, I was given a route to take on the backroads that avoided all the traffic. I now have that route to use on a regular basis.

The pukes that are churning out the creeping crud usually do it on a Mac or Linux box and don't want it coming home.

Hence the lesser need for inoculating these machines.

I have had one time that a box popped up unexpectedly asking for ROOT password. o_O I DON'T THINK SO

I had opened an email just a moment before the box opened up.

In the 3 years since building this Linux box I have only had the one blurp.

Used to get crap all the time that the Win drugs had to fix.

Thanks Steve, will update w/ numbers here @ 50% load after the test Wednesday next week.

Thanks JT & B - it seems Valero & Sunoco are the only (2) non-Ethanol suppliers in the area, if I find a station serving 100% pure gasoline that doesn't require traveling to a non-extradition country :D,
I'll be sure to update that info here.

I hope you have an excellent day Will! It's been real busy here, and got umpteen needed projects going, but I think I gonna grab the axe and saw on the front porch and work on the trees dropped a few weeks ago for some needed wood therapy today.

You can do that G, or you could install a VM enironment (I like Oracle VM Virtualbox) and run Win10 directly within the Win7 desktop ..

Or setup a more traditional 'dual boot' using a (Microsoft Virtual Hard Disk, or VHD) file, like described here:
Enable VHD boot - Windows 10, BIOS, GPT drive | TechNet

Or setup an USB / external drive boot using Rufus, Win2USB, etc.. Where you get to choose the (boot device) when the laptop or workstation starts up ..

    Several options to do this.

One option, for those who want to experiment with different OSes and you dont have a "play" box, is Oracle VM Virtual Box. (https "colon" slash slash www "dot" virtualbox "dot" org/)
You can create/delete "machines" to your hearts content until you are ready to take the plunge...
it just a regular looking program that you create the VM in...
I used it for a project I was working on, and it needed a different OS..
Don't like an OS, simple delete, create a new VM and load your next experiment...

    Good old EPA

We bought the Daughter and Son in law a new weed whacker as a house warming gift and it would not run right.

Main jet (2 stroke engine) was way too lean.

Ahhh too easy, just open it a tad---- Noooooooooooooooooo. Stupid odd ball adjustment is a bastard "Double D" and You can't buy it. Only EPA certified shops can purchase the tool from the factory in their service kit.

    Hmmmm
Shop wanted $30 to adjust the thing.

    Not gonna happen.

Grabbed the little beast and measured the socket in the adjustment and headed to the machine shop in the basement.

A bout 15-20 minutes and we had a cool little double D adjuster made from a piece of aluminum rod.

    Whacker runs fine now.

The mfg adjusts these things to meet EPA specs for emissions, but when set the way they do the thing will not run above an idle.

    So stupid.

Agreed......the no-load speed is always a little high. Don't mess with any adjustments until you check it under load.

jtakeman , If you're putting stuff in like Sta-bil 360 Marine, you should be good to go for up to 12 months:

you ate "two" lobster rolls! You must have your appetite back ok. I bought my wife one yesterday at Red Barn in Augusta. I didn't get one because it has a roll. Bread is off my diet for now. Would have gotten a lobster salad but they were not on their menu.
