There is a wood splitter for sale on CL Lansing this morning. Looks like a screamin' deal to me. Just thought I would put it out there for anyone that is in the market for hydraulics. ( not sure if this post belongs somewhere else, feel free to move it if necessary).
Wow! Perhaps I should go look at this one. Might check it out if I find the time but sadly, have to stay close to the throne room right now. This is why I am online now... I did send a reply. We'll see if he replies.
I sure wouldn't be worried about getting my money back out of it for that price. The worst part is dealing with people on CL, they sometimes don't make it easy. Trying to buy a storage cabinet on CL right now, you wouldn't believe how much of a PIA it has been.
Same splitter I have. Easy starting. I've never met a round it hasn't busted. The hydrolics are slow though. Efficient on petrol. I'd buy it it at 400 in a heart beat. I got mine at Menard's on sale for $950 I think
Great deal if it's legit. When I see deals to good to be true on CL I automatically suspect theft. Maybe that's just because of the part of the country where I live though.
You know Dennis, thoughts could be for you to purchase that one and you could keep 1 splitter in each position for comparison. I know that there's only one way to split wood, but it never hurts to try new things.
I could write a book about the jackwagons I have dealt with on Craigslist. Common courtesy is out the window on CL. Apparently, martial law is in effect. Is it so difficult to send a text or email to let a person know an item is sold? If I sold something, I would still take the time to respond to anyone that inquired about an item. But I guess I am in the minority, because usually when I respond to a CL ad I just get ignored. One of these days I will reach a point where I decide that CL is not worth my time, but I am not quite there yet.
