Well I bought the ms361 that I had ask suggestions on a few weeks ago, I think I got a bargain at$200 it is in excellent condition and came with several chains, the only thing I don't like is it has a 25 inch bar so I've listed the bar for sale on craiglist...I sold my 026 over the weekend for $250 with 2 bars one 18 and one 20 inch...think I will put a 20 inch bar on the 361 for general firewood cutting..thank's to everyone for the advice on here !
Wow! That sounds like a terrific deal. You saved so much money on the saw, why not keep the 25" B&C for when you need it AND get a 20" B&C set up for everyday use. Just sayin...
Mike I may just keep the 25 inch bar...but I have a Makita 6401 set up with a 24 inch bar for bucking big logs..wonder if the 361 has enough power to pull a milling chain on the 25 inch bar ? Hmmmm
Awesome score! Another option could be to put the 25" up for trade/sale in the classified section here. A 361 will be a bit small for milling IMO. Some guys might have made a board or two with one, but ripping puts a tremendous load on the saw; and I don't think a 60cc has a big enough crank to handle it for very long.
Shawn I think you are absolutely correct. In my humble opinion,he should sell it to me for$225 and put that money into bigger saw
Lexington, KY, was tiring to get an idea on shipping. I will offer the same deal I did the guy on AS, $67 shipped.
