Yes, it is. Won't compare with oak or hard maple but still good to burn and you should have lots in your area.

btw Blackop555 did any of those storms hit you in the last couple weeks? Sounds like it got pretty bad in places.

Nope they went around me both days last month we got pummeled by one got so dark I couldn't see inside the car very windy and quarter hail. Then it rained alot that week but past few storms went around. Probably due to lake

Not alot of larch but plenty tamarack and the bugs are getting into it. Lots of spruce. Dunno if it's worth the bother limb free 20ft up

It was 97 degrees yesterday. I cleared a spot to put another stack. Than split enough ash and oak to fill it. Than hiked a ways into the woods to buck up a fallen giant. Getting it out going to be tough but cleared a path about 2/3rds of the way to get my 4 wheeler in. I'll probably finish this weekend.

To Hot so, this is all I got :woodsign: today

Was 92, sun went behind the trees and cooled down to 87, I felt like getting outside for a bit so, I went and cut this little ash Out of the Woods.
Tongs work great for draggin poles outa the woods

Sorry... unusual for me to be off line for this long but Ive been busy... Larch is a smidge lower in btus than birch but doesnt suffer from the rot. Its also very close to ash.... Its about at the top of the list when it comes to soft wood as far as btus goes.
