The 1959 and ?1945? 220's I recently scored, both users and solid runners. The '45 has "US" stamped on the bottom,,is it an early "Mil-Spec" ?
I think what you found is a rare model BX!, can you post a pic of the pump?, if it screws in it should be a BX....if so, great find!!
Picked up this cool old fan yesterday for ten big ones!, it's a Signal 1250A from '37-'39 time frame, cleaned up way better than expected and looks much better than in these pics...
No kidding?!!? I've seen the BX mentioned over at oldcolemancollectors/oldcolemanparts. Yes the pump screws in and it has the green sunrise globe. The vent is pretty rough. Will post more pics later on. I almost passed on it because of the 25 dollar price tag,,got it for 22 clams.. Now to clean it up,,mud daubers inside the collar, wasn't even sure it would fire!
After thinking about your lantern a little more, it could also be the more common model "C", but I can't remember if the C's were stamped US on the bottom, if it is a C, it should be stamped model C on the collar.....
Thanks for the input old 040, I'll take a closer look at it later, making ready for 3 12 1/2 shifts at the workhouse, wont' be much fooling around in the garage. Maybe slide over to oldcolemancollectors and see what I can read or terry marsh's' site. Thanks again.
Cigar Mike's place ? Yep, I log on and check it out every now and again. If there's another one out there,,no, I guess I'm not. Do you have an address?
Went for a ride yesterday afternoon after work and picked up this user 220K, I just wanted the amber globe out of it, paid $15. for it, was surprised when I got there that they still had the original box for it and a nearly full gallon can of CF that they threw in!, along the way back I grabbed a nice 413F stove I was eyeing up a couple weeks back, I like the towel rack feature on the these and the extendable legs, from what I've read the 413F with legs are kinda tough to come by, this one is still in nice shape as well, the pic of the 413F is not mine, but looks just as nice, I'll get some pics later today.....
And some better pics of the NOS 425D I snagged a couple days back, it also came with a full can of CF!.....
Got to try out my new cpx and another small batt powered lantern this morning, pretty nasty storm blew though around 6:30 AM and wiped out the power for about two hours, fired up a couple F's out in the work shed, Felt like camp'n times!....
The collar is kinda ruff, I'll call it a model C, but it's stamped "US" , and it's a very good runner.
Was finally gonna' pull the trigger on the check valve tool at OCP,,,and they are NLA. old 40, do you have any ideas?
