I've been having a crappy run of late on emergency call outs, today was no exception. That little power supply board (first pic) took down my UPS at one of my Hub sites. Luckily the unit went into bypass and no equipment went down.

    :picard: :p

Walking's a big step Smokey - keep up the great progress !

Hey G, sorry to read about ur back, that sucks. PT lady seems to know her stuff though, let 'em keep torture-izing you !

re: Voles, got 'em here too - a spray bottle w/ 2 tablespoons Castor Oil, 2 tablespoons Dawn dish soap, and water for spot spraying, and dumping the same mix in / around the holes seems to be keeping them at bay, for the moment. * Had to go to the Pharmacy counter @ the local supermarket to purchase Castor Oil - couldn't find out on the shelf, anywhere locally here.

(Gotta pickup some more Cayenne pepper this week, to spice up the mix.)

I walked outside, looked at the back yard, turned around and right back inside.. Grass will keep a day or three. :flipeggs:

Doing the work thing again this weekend - Stay cool everyone !

Radar is looking nasty up your way. We were grazed by one 2 hours ago that lasted 10-15 minutes and sun back out but back and forth with clouds since.

Keeping an eye on radar in case I need to pull the smoker into the garage again. Low and slow cook with the major smoking done a while ago. Doors open and fan blowing out so all is good.

Two strings of batteries (series), one string (40 batteries) in each cabinet. Last spring, I had thermal runaway on the one string. The batteries were literally cooking themselves and the room stunk of acid. I was sh!tting my pants for a bit. The other string is getting replaced in a few weeks, they are at their 5 year mark and we automatically replace them at 5 years even if they test ok.

Pulled the bike out to wash all the bugs off (morning rides into work at 5 AM + warm temps = massive bugs on fairing and lowers). It was sunny and 91* at the time. Just got the bike washed and rinsed, and Mother Nature thought she might lik a crack at doing the final rinse. dried off the seat, let the wind blow dry for about 5 minutes and backed the bike into the garage just as it started sprinkling. Outside temp went from 91 to 78 right quick. Massive wind, but only about 1/2" of rain. The willow tree dropped another decent sized branch. My house was in the middle of a purple section on the radar - don't know what the wind was but rain was beating on the windows and I have a 3' overhang, and a bunch of the area lost power (I just had flickers).

Nice when Mother Nature helps out with the final rinse and dry, its usually the opposite

Same here, pulled the smoker inside just in time for all hell to break loose. Major wind and then heavy rain with thunder for maybe 30-40 minutes. Skies cleared and was soooo much cooler. No outages here either, I dont even remember a flicker

That wind could have messed with my low draft and temps on the smoker but since it was at the end of the cook it wouldnt have hurt the meat. Since in the garage, temp stayed put and the pulled beef was amazing :) I did end up over cooking the veggies thrown in at the end, bit mushy on the peppers but still good.
