A couple weeks ago a really nice guy called Frank and Beans posted about some rubber roofing material. Roadside Scrounge | Firewood Hoarders Club

I'm very happy to report that he and I met yesterday at his work place and I drove home with some of that rubber roofing material. Here is a public thank you to MR Frank and Beans. He really is a good guy. In addition, I met his co-worker who lives not too far from Pallet Pete so not that far from me either. And it turns out he knows several folks who live near us. It is a small world out there!

As for the roofing material, Our plans for this is to use on some new hunting blinds I've started building out of firewood. Getting started making a new type of hunting blind. | Firewood Hoarders Club

Glad to help out, Dennis. I am going to keep an eye out for more of it, as several members are interested in obtaining some. Now that I have seen how many could use it, if I get another chance I will take all that is available.
And thanks to you for the 3d deer target. I placed it strategically in the garage and it scared the crap out of my wife. I predicted as much and my son confirmed the results to me this afternoon, "She yelped, Dad, and almost peed her pants." Good times!

Too bad you didn't get a video of that! It would have been a keeper. And you are welcome.

Nice work Frank and Beans !

That rubber roofing is great stuff. I keep looking for used rubber roofing as it's not super cheap if you have to buy it new.

I should hit up a local roofer and ask of they ever have used rubber roofing.

A trail cam set to "video" mode would have been a nice touch, but she knows where I live so I have to be careful.

It can't hurt to ask, Horkn. I think a lot of this stuff has ended up in the dumpster in the past. But now I think there is such a demand for it, that soon they will start selling it instead of giving it away. Wherever there is a dollar to be made...

I agree wholeheartedly. It's one thing to goof around in private, but a public embarassment is not a road I would like to travel down!

Some take it better than others, I'm sure. When in doubt, prolly best to err on the side of caution!

Good on ya Frank and Beans ! This confirms to me the impression I got of you being a good guy when we met briefly @ Dennis' GTG.

I travel past this place every so often myself. Hopefully between the 2 of us we can score some more of the stuff!

It was great to meet you at the GTG Eric! It already seems like ages ago, when in fact it has only been a few months. But the good news is that Dennis is considering making the GTG an annual event. And word on the street is that Judy is in favor of it, as well.

I have an occasional source in Northern MN. Also have lots of conveyor belting that is great for stacking wood on.
