Good to hear....that's another reason I try not to eat my own cooking.

 

The cold front brought lower temps (63) but nothing for rain so maybe the weather services will get the rain forecast correct for today.

They forecast .25 inches of rain today.

 

Dug taters this AM. Sweat profusely while doing so. Got 5 buckets full though....taters...not sweat.

 

Noaa says "chance" of:
A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2pm. Some storms could be severe, with damaging winds and frequent lightning. Partly sunny, with a high near 85. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Tonight
Scattered showers and thunderstorms before 8pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 62. Northwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
So they are saying someone has a good chance of getting a T storm, and everything that goes with a T storm.
Last PM we good a good line of boomers that came through, they were the ones that thewoodlands had warned me about last PM

Keep some Pepto Bismuth with you. can really help with the nausea and often with the diarrhea that comes with food poisoning. I keep pepto, gelusil, and tylenol tabs in the glove compartment all the time. Has saved me from "loosing it" many times.
Also, look on Amazon for a plug in cooler. They really keep food cold, or hot and can prevent spoilage. That way you can have a huge variety of food and not worry about spoilage.

 

A little...as in a 5 gallon bucket full of it.

 

I just came back from a ride around the woodlands, the water in Brook is down to the end of August levels and with not much rain in the future it will drop even more.

If it does rain today we won't even get that quarter inch of rain they were calling for.

They're saying our temps will drop to 54 tonight which will feel great.

 

Kids and grand kids, and their friends are in the pool every day . They go in multiple times each day. Weather is so hot lately. Wife and I can't use the pool because it is one of those above ground units that has a ladder for up and over. Neither one of us climb. I go to the YMCA and use their walk in heated pools. Love it. They will be in that pool into August, but then we know the weather turns in August and that will be the end of the pool. Plus, I am not paying to filter that pool while the kids are in school and not using it.

 

They're saying we have another severe threat for our area (yours too) for Monday, one of these will hit us sooner or later.

I thought about taking a dip in the brook but the bugs area pretty bad.

 

We went out to eat and the temp when we left was 85, when we came back it was a nice 71 degrees.

Nothing yet for rain or storms in this area, the worst is still northeast of us.

 

I know guys were probably worried....but we survived!

We are celebrating by having a wood fired BBQ pizza and Paulaner Hefe-weisen!

 

I really needed this ice cream sundae.



Some heavy storms will be here in about 1/2 hour. 13 counties under warnings. There is hail reported and winds to 60 mph from the ones that just passed through south. Good chance of more damage.
