They put it on a diet. It's lighter now like the 562 and IIRC they sealed the air box a little better.
It's not but the have a different cylinder and clutch cover so there easy to tell apart. Sounds about right. Not for sure though I will try and find my price sheet later this evening.
Ya front tensioner do stink. You should watch me wrestling with my 056 trying to put a 36" bar and chain on. You would either be laughing your but off, crying, or pushing me to the side just to save your self from the pain of watching.
I was sure happy that my 2172 had an inboard clutch last time I got it pinched in a tree... popped the bar off and dropped the tree the other direction. Just remember to bring an extra saw, and don't get them both pinched! Swapping chains is simple if you know how to do it... unless the chain is too short.
It's not apples to apples. 261 is more about speed and the 361 has more torque, it think. Both get the job done, they just feel a little different.
If I am cutting trees that are mostly in the 18-20" range would I be better off with a ported 50cc or stock 60cc if I'm trying to buck a log as quickly as I can?
