Thursday Severe Thunder Storms Possible

Got a nasty line of storms headed this way. Was gonna go let baby piney run through the sprinkkers but not with the lighting warning i just got.

 

The cold front hasn't arrived yet but they took off the watch for the north country.

fishingpol , I got myself caught in a micro burst in 2009, that got the heart beat going pretty good, stay safe.

 

We are good here. Plow trucks are being used to push trees off the road a few miles from here. My neighbor was in the next town up and there were tangles of wires down on cars and trees down all over.

 

Woodlands, radar up here shows a line headed in your direction. Looks like more rain than anything, probably 3 hrs. away

 

It looks like we might get some severe weather this Friday, the last two have missed us.

 

Both Fri & Sat they are showing a 30% chance of T-Storms up here. No warnings though other that heat till then.

 

Here are a few pictures from the other night. A local microburst hit about a one square mile. Just up about a mile from us. 85 mph winds from it. I drove by a van that was under a tree. There were tree crews all over the place.

 

There were thousands without power from two days ago. Didn't get anything here, but not far away, they got blasted. No telling what, when or where. Thing I would emphasize is to have a plan. What conditions means I take action and where that is.

 

Powerful chit, I've never been at our house when one hit but I was on the road when the trees started to come down behind us so we pulled into the closest store.

It's been a good four years since we had some real strong winds so were due.

 

noaa is saying tomorrow will most likely be the most unstable day of the season.

 

Wishing you folks down there good luck with those storms. Sure has been some summer, weather-wise this year. Been a awesome wood seasoning summer so far as well.

 

It looks like parts of Wisconsin are getting some heavy rain with some 60 mph winds.

We had 75 earlier this morning, the worst of the storm today might miss us today but tomorrow might be a different story.

 

Not liking that map. I checked my source this morning and it said highest possibility of rain today was at 15%. No mention of storms. The only reason it matters is because I rode the bike into work, thinking that the weather would be awesome (besides being hot and humid anyway). Actually just checked my source, and they are sticking to their story. I hope they are right!
