Sitting here on the verge of my 64th birthday tomorrow. Thought about all the things I've done, the places I have been and figuring how I made it this far relatively unscathed, although alittle battered. Can anyone enlighten me as to how to make the next 64 years alittle easier? Not sure I can withstand the same pounding level.......................LOL
Happy Birthday, I'm about 40 days older. (12/15/49) ...my advice, ...keep doing what to you're doing, and don't die, wear the world like a loose shirt. Remember that in most cases you have more experience than anyone in the room, so feel perfectly free to call "Bullchit on that". Be grateful for every day we've been given. Keep the fridge stocked and the stoves stoked.. Enjoy FHC every day!
Yeah, I hear ya Brother. It's amazing @ what you can say and do and get away with because they think your just a crazy old coot..........LOL
I have a few years on ya, not much, but a few. I'm still here, well, because I think there is still a plan for me by a power greater than my own. That being said, I would tell you it is kind of like that Johnny Cash song, "know when to hold'em known when to fold'em. Know when to walk away, know when to run.....Count your blessings".
Time flies doesn't it? My wife and I are going on 35 years of marriage and it just seems like a week (under water)! Gary
Happy Birthday Rotti...you have me by 10 years and a day (1/28/60). My best advise is thank God for every day you've had and trust him to direct you through the ones you have left. Ice cream and cake helps too....or pie...just about anything sweet. Wife put a sign up in the kitchen for me last year and now our good friends wife made me a shirt, says "pie fixes everything"
Happy Birthday Rotti! Glad to have you with us here, I'll raise my glass to another 64 years for you my friend!
Like the saying goes…."If I had known I was going to live this long I would have taken better care of myself"….
My advice to you is to NOT take any advice from me. At the rate I'm going, I'll be happy to make it to 64.
