So a little up date today, I changed engine oil, hydraulic fluid and filter, Gave the head piece a paint job… "because I'll be the first to run into it"! and not see it so it got "red" paint. "I'll still run into it" things are looking good. Ran like a charm, I'm happy! Life's good, At 54 I can finally put down my sledge "O" matic :picard: and renting a splitter.. I got the other one painted "mostly tonight" go see the other thread, lets see those splitters.

A little update on the my new old splitter, The Kid had a ball today! She loves running the splitter, she split up just about a cord today. I had a lot of odd cherry, maple and some hackberry. It ran like a champ, I'm gonna get spoiled o_O… I'll have a red milk crate soon :p :tears::whistle:

Very nice Dave. A hydraulic splitter does make life a little easier for the firewood hoarder.

Like she'll work out just fine.... Hydraulics are body savers... The time hand split it when I need smaller splits going into the house...

I'll tell ya Muddsaw, I beat on logs for over 35 years. "the exercise was real good" but things hurt to much any more! I must say I should have got one 10 years ago :emb:, I was just a little bull headed to think I wasn't getting older and just didn't want to spent the $$$. I was in the process of building the other one when this came along. Sooooo, I'll go from none to two soon.:p Oh, She came along way before the splitter, but that was "more" work than splitting wood, "TRUST ME!" :whistle:
