The wife just picked up a 123 DL .404" for the 088. She said that's a huge chain.

The 404 I've seen on saws is fairly thin still. The chains I run are 0.080 gauge I believe. Normal saw is what, 0.058?

I know it makes a wide cut. We figured it out one day and on tree length log we loose close to a round (16") to sawdust. Sawdust bin is 4ftx8ftx4ft tall and can fill that up on about 10 cords cut.

It's .063" .404" full comp chisel. i was kinda hoping for skip but oh well. It's not like it's a common item around here. The guy told her he only knows of 2 people in the county who come in and buy .404".

Nice pics and vids Clem. I only made one cut on a 18" log with that chain. It still should have been factory sharp. Never used it again.

To get 3 full tanks without sharpening is a blessing IMO

Nice video and pics! That's a big hunk of wood there and the 650 sounded good.

Nice model of truck. They used metal for those trucks back then. I had an 84 and could walk across the hood to trim trees. I never should have sold that beast.

Nice job on the large Oak.
