Nice! sugar maple. That's much better than any oak, for burning, btu's, and seasoning time. There's nothing wrong with oak if you have 3-4 years to get it to be low enough MC.
I'm sure he has a great story. I like fans that are fans, not ones that bounce around and band wagon it.
NW PA. A diehard bills fan all my life. Suffered through the 4 super bowl losses in a row and sucking ever since. 16 years with no playoffs and counting. In Tyrod we trust!
Hmm, you have been here a week, and already Eric VW has talked you into something.. Watch out BeechNut, he's a furly dangerous man.
Go Steelers! You have an amazing stash of wood, and I forgive you for living in Western Pennsylvania and not being a Stillerz fan...
See, that's a true fan. It's quite an amazing feat that they lost all 4 Superbowls. Tyrod has the potential. Watkins has serious skills, and the defense has the capability to stop most offenses.
My uncle actually was on the steelers coaching staff for many years and played for the steelers. duck Hoak.
Watkins needs to stay healthy. I think Tyrod is going to be a star. And the D just needs another year to get grips on how to run Rex's complicated schemes.
I have a quick question for you guys. In pic #7 this is the way I'm covering all my wood now. 6 mil black stapled down. Much easier than the tarps. Am I going far enough down the sides? I do get a lot of wind driven rain and drip down them. I'm kind of worried after 4 years they may punk.
99 lbs is a true blue fan! Me, I can take it or leave it. It's just the unreasonable fan attics that get to us....you know, the ones that will watch a replay and still not accept the evidence???? People like that always make me wonder just how in the world they would ever qualify for jury duty!!!!
Not to worry - your stacks are absolutely perfect bud! Water dripping onto the ends of your splits will be quickly dried up by the sun and wind. It's the middle you need to worry about if it's top covered. If the plastic gets holes in it and drains water into the middle of your stack somewhere, that area can get wetter than it would have if you left it uncovered. But, something tells me you won't be hurting for firewood anytime soon!
I check once a week for punctures and holes. It holds up quite well. I have some on for 1.5 years without anything. Here and there some get little holes and I patch them up with silicone. It works great.
HOLY BEEE GEEE ZUSS!!!!!! I would post one these posts: Except, I would need enough popcorn for the next 100 years or something! WOW!! Where is this "honey hole" you speak of?? Address, phone numbers and names please!!!!
