If I knew where the mitten was I would make sure I let you know if I'm going to be there. I rarely leave SC so chances are good I won't be near there anytime soon at least.
If you're really stumped about where the mitten is have a gander at the U.S. map and use your imagination. I'm sure it will slap you in the face eventually. P.s. it's the land shaped like a hand
I figured it was some state shaped like a hand. Don't remember my geography from HS. I'm thinking Minnesota or michigan...but have to look.
I said Minnesota but I mean Wisconsin. It anyway michigan does claim to be the mitten state. The top three results were which is the real mitten state michigan or Wisconsin or both claim mitten. So I don't think I was wrong...forget that I didn't even list Wisconsin I did michigan who actually claims to be the mitten state. Mitten State: Michigan Nickname Used In Wisconsin Tourism Campaign But anyway, I don't remember that stuff. Plus I had to look really hard to see a mitten I was going off what I remembered or thought I did. I flew to Chicago once that's the only time I have ever been within probably 600 miles of those places.
But it's strange I listed the state, yet "none of those places look like a mitten". Seeing you and HD are same place I know positively which mitten were talking about.
Without the upper peninsula the state looks like a mitten. Some might say the U.P. should be it's own state anyway.
The U.P. is definitely a land all its own in everything but name. Heck half the folks up there are packers fans for crying out loud!
