Not many great deals there, some bulk buys though many are off of saws (thus the tags). It is easier to stack power heads than saws with bars. I did buy one 32" bar at a pawn shop, but that is about it.

My 655 was the same way. Only about 145 pSI on the gauge, but a real bear to pull over. I usually set my P-60 on the ground to start it...

Is that a manual oil pump sticking out there?

Yes! One of my favorite features on vintage saws. Both my 1050 and the 655 have automatic oilers as well.

Here's my P-60. Basically the same saw, minus the boost ports. image.jpg

Does the 655 have a relatively small recoil pulley?

Only the P-6x Pioneers and the 655 have the manual oiler, if you see a saw with one grab it (after making sure someone just hasn't swapped the front handle).

You have a picture of the 655 next to the P-52 you sold me?

New air filter finally arrived 2 days ago,a month after saw was delivered.First filter was lost in the mail so Seller sent me another one for free.

This had set for quite a while before it was sold to me,Seller said it had 150+ cold compression.I think he lowballed it cause after 3 pulls it fired, another 7-8 pulls which damm near broke my fingers when it snapped back each time the beast finally was running.Originally had decompression valve, but that was removed & hole plugged by a previous owner.Took a while for the fuel to get from the tank to the carb after setting so long, but its running great now that it warmed up.Will adjust the carb a little more before making any cuts to be sure its perfect. After dinner Sat. night went out back to the shed & put bar/chain on it for final carb adjustment,no sense putting long bar on for that when this shorty will do... :DI'll bet that big beast is like a light saber with a short bar,the 2 big Husky's sure are I found out in the past...:dex:

Pioneer/Partner/Husq/Jonsered have same mount pattern. The larger displacement late 80's to mid 90's Poulan Pro saws are same as the others too.Since they're basically rebadged Pioneer/Partner/Jonsered models.

Don't really know. I'll have to check the next time I'm futzing with them.

Nope. I only had that saw for long enough to box it up and send it to you.
