Do their flowers last longer than the viburnum? Our hydrangea flowers last for weeks, but the viburnum only a couple weeks.

    Gamer box ???
It would not be my first choice for something to pack around to play with my buddies.

It is however a "tinkerers" delight.

Just flip the "hood" up and you are into its guts.

I got a real steal on it at Fry's

It had been set up on the display rack with a MB installed and other hardware and the ASUS sticker on it "tuf"

Got it for half price as the booklet and the screws and such were missing.

Had all the cables and such.

I had a big Azz power supply from another box that I stuffed in it and added a hot swap tray in the 5 inch bay and stuck in a 500 gig ide drive I had on the shelf.

Kicked it in the butt and installed Linux Zorin and off to the rodeo.

Running to a 42 inch LG TV screen mounted on an articulated wall mount.

Kick back in my office chair with my feet up and the KB in my lap, mouse to my left on a handy used puter tower with a pad up top.

Plenty of power and comfy on the eyes

Got a good soaking of rain yesterday. It was hit or miss, but we got a good share of it. It goes a long ways helping out the lawn and gardens. I don't know what Stinny or SmokeyTheBear got in their areas. Stinny is near the hills and Smokey is near lakes.

We had one of the first Apple computers. I had NO memory. With the monitor and printer, (dot matrix) it cost us about $2300. I had it all boxed up in the garage. The kids saw it and tossed it on the dump.

I got a bit on Wednesday morning, but it wasn't much. Wednesday afternoon, between jobs, I was out watering a shrub garden I planted in an area that usually stays moist. It ain't been moist for a while now. A perennial garden I have in a wet area (next to the swamp) is not wet and barely moist (if the plants are any indication. I'll be dammed if I have to get another hose and water that too :hair:.

Those old puters can be worth some $$$$ now

We spent nearly $4K on the first system.

It was a custom built (Shop up in PDX) 2 printers (Huge dot matrix beasts)

The daughter brought home a letter from school saying she needed a computer at home.

Grandma and Grandpa went in 50/50 with us.

Thing died about 4 days after we got it.

Called the shop and find out the shop owner had died of a heart attack the night before.

Thats when I got my feet wet inside of these critters.

Read a few books on diagnosing troubles and then tore into it.

    Bad memory stick was all.

Today I get on ebay and shop for a year or two old "New in box" board or ??? and go for it.

I don't need the latest gamer Bazzzzzilion "Jiiiigabyte" screamer.

Once the stuff is a year old they are cheap.

For a very little $$$$ you can toss together a great little unit

Well yesterday we made the yearly strawberry run, didn't need to make jam this year so just picked for eating and to make some fruit leathers. I got the boss a dehydrator for Christmas and she just needed to try Strawberries. It didn't take long to pick them (took longer for this old critter to stand up). Will be using it a lot this fall.

We have a dehydrator sitting new in the closet for a couple years.

Never seem to get time to fiddle with it.

I use the dehydrator to make dog treats, namely chicken jerky. So easy and cheap. I know what it is, and isn't. Not full of junk from China or from Listeria from contamination.
