HD here has them. So does Walmart and Lowes. Clerk at HD said they had more trucks coming in this week.
I was surprised that there were no Maine pellets available at HD today. We have several plants here.

Save$, have you tried the AWF yet. I'm not complaining that there aren't any Maine pellets, these are much better at the same price. I'm trying to grab as many as the budget allows.

First time with them. Because you brought it up that I knew they were available. I'll go back for some more if they burn good. I too have to switch the budget. It is fairly fixed so my options have to be creative. If I owned a harman like you do, it wouldn't matter so much. My stove, (and maybe me!) is really fussy. Ash Matter! If it fills up the burn pot, the heating efficiency of heat production is reduced. Last year I could go a week on MWP without a shutdown, but no more than three days this year. I've done my deep cleaning, but I still don't maintain that sharp torch burn for as long as I did last year.

couple things have happened, some elucidated by folks above....ie: coldest winter in a long time

Now, some mills are being hit with huge increases in production cost- namely electricity (at least one Maine mill in particular), and they just sent out a missive saying that there would be a $20 additional energy cost to each ton leaving the mill, and that starts with loads leaving the mill today. Secondly, the largest pellet company in the northeast is hand-to-mouth in their inventory- basically no extra in stock, they are making the pellet and sending it out as fast as they can. But., other suppliers seem to have plenty of product....so, we shall see..........

Maine's choice just came off the truck at Lowe's in Amherst, NH.. Also had "Nation's Choice Premium Wood Pellets" and of course Green Supreme. Guy unpacking the Maine's Choice said that the Green Supreme was their best pellet and started to talk about BTU's per pound... I know if I ever get a pellet stove, you guys will set me straight!!!!:smoke:

Oh, but remember that sometimes quality varies year to year, batch to batch and even time of year. Yes, some are consistently better than others, but there are always changes that normally mean you try a few bags before you commit to tons of them. Pellet heads are alway on the prowl for availability, quality, and price.

We got our load of Rocky mtns. Our customers haven't been as happy as they were with past batches. They burn GREAT in my VF-100 though, plus I just installed it a month ago or so and haven't tried another pellet. Hard to go buy anything else when I get a deal through work.... I did have some clinkers until I adjusted the feed rate trim down one notch but not one since. I blame that more on the CO altitude than anything. I had to do the same with the Mini at the shop when we had our older batches that our customers loved... hard to say. The Quadrafire owners are the least happy of the bunch. Glad my stove is a bit more adjustable although I love Quads.
