blacksmith has helped me restore quite a few 18thc utensils on his forge, I'm sure we'll do some tools for the pizza oven too. I've been thinking about a name for this contraption.....hows this one sound? "The Overkill Pizza Grille"
Here are some inspirational iron smelter pictures to give you an idea on the size of the oven I am expecting. We'll need more .
Now that's an oven. How may pizzas do you think we could make in there Scotty? Is that where the next GTG is going to be pizzas for everyone at once!
Scotty, I don't know everything except when it comes to pizza and restaurant equipment, been doing it 45 years. The last thing you want near a WFO is steel or metal of any sort. A WFO runs at 900 degrees, use only a wooden peel. .
I use metal in mine quite frequently. I have a steel rooker to move coals around. An iron tool is necessary for fire management. A steel angle iron is used to keep coals back from burning pizza crust, iron trivet to keep bottoms of pans from getting too hot on the firebricks. I am going to forge an iron 3 leg trivet to put a cast iron pan on to cook fajitas over hot coals. I also want to forge some rat tail meat skewers for cooking tips in there too.
I'm not sure if you all know this or not but the time continuum at the Scotty Overkill homestead and the Bermuda triangle are linked somehow. blacksmith can relate there is normal time then Scotty time.
