Just a little reminder to be safe out there.

    Which way do I go?

I would have to change my pants after that!

Good watching out on that guy's part. I am no expert, but I am guessing that there is no real way to predict that kind of reaction. I also find it interesting that the saw was still in the tree after that was all said and done.

goes to prove that the the best laid plans of men can still be unpredictable. I'm just glad that most likely the worse part of that for him will be a shower and changing his clothes.

These guys don't get paid enough IMO. It's likely that's not the first time he's ran for his life either.

I bet I know what he was saying whilst scampering!

WOW! :bug: I wouldn't have even tried to save the saw as long as he did.
If that happened to me, there are no suspenders in the world that would hold up my pants after I filled them.

I just watched this again a few times. It looks like he struggled with his footing in his primary escape route, and that's why he had to change directions. Hopefully he got out of there cause it looks like that tree was chasing him!

That's why you want to plan multiple escape routes, and why you leave hazard trees to the pros!

I've experienced barberchair but that looked more like barberchairs or the whole damm barber shop.

Looking at the bottom of that tree there is no way I'd have tried to cut it as low as he did but it was so far gone even cutting it higher would not have helped....except that the poor fellow would have been on his feet to start with. And that, my friends is why I do not like cutting trees that low. I'd rather cut higher up then after the tree is down, then cut that lower part. But, with logging, they like to get as much wood as possible. That thing spelled disaster from the start.
