What I saw is that its a bigger version of the 550, which I think was 99 cc's

I'm considering buying this saw, just cause. You know , it's a 100cc saw. :salute:

Super 550,made from June 1970 to June 1975,this 103cc monster is seldom seen.I rarely see more than 2-3 yearly on feebay or elsewhere.

Yes that's correct. The ''regular'' 550 is 99cc,sold from January 1966 to May 1970.Its basically an updated version of my 740 which was produced from May 1963 to June 1964.The 740 direct drive,840 gear drive had the 99cc,the 790/795/Super 550 direct drives,890/895/940 gear drives had the 103cc engine with just a few years difference in the dates of production.

The industry was quite fluid back then, lots of changes & constant innovation going on with some models improved/model numbers changed every year or so.

    Free Hardwood Logs (McMurray)
    [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

I have a large pile of hardwood logs that I am giving for free to whomever wants to pick them up. The stack contains a 24" diameter black walnut, various sized cherry and an ash up to 16ft in length. The stack is adjacent to my driveway and located at *******************. You must be able to load and transport yourself. You can cut on site if needed. The logs are first come first serve. I will remove the post when all logs are gone.

Judging by the location of the CL ad, I'd be doubtful as to its legitimacy.
