Nice set up, welcome to the club.
As far as helping you with your stove I would just be taking wild guesses, hopefully someone with experience with that stove will see this post

Have you checked the door gasket? To make sure it's sealing on all 4 sides?

    BTW- Welcome to FHC! !

So nobody has put a baffle in an Earth Stove? I just called my local welding shop and had a piece of 3/8 plate cut 14"X 26" for my baffle. I will post pictures as I install and results of burn efficiency or lack there of.

My SisIL had a 100 series Earth stove for a minute or 2, but I only burned it once. I don't think any of the controls worked, and it burned very hot, so she got rid of it.

There are the air tubes in the back of the stove, I plugged mine and modded the flap on the back where the dial is to sit flat. This effectively seals the stove. Good for overnights and spring fall burns.

Hey, everyone we're new to the forum-- My wife and I purchased this EarthStove for our cabin-- not too sure of the model #. Anyone else have one of these? Tips or recommendations welcome.

Welcome and hello Joe R
Besides this stove, what can you share about the rest of your set up; i.e. wood, saw(s) etc....?

Welcome to the forum from the Chief. Great bunch! Don't know to much about Earth Stoves, but somebody on here does! Good luck. Wood heat is great no matter what you are burning in.

Dang. Sorry about your back. Having broken mine one 3 places 5 years ago, I can certainly sympathize with that. Hope yours improves. And can't wait to see you guys again. Wish we all lived closer together. We would have a good time more often. Chief

Eric, I apologize for the delayed response. I have a simple Echo 16" chainsaw and I've got ample supplies of Pecan, Elm, Oak and Pine. Since we're talking about wood-- I had a chance to burn some Hackberry a year or so ago-- it was really dense, burned slow, and put out some serious heat. Has anyone else noticed that with Hackberry? In Dallas they're viewed as trash trees, but after my limited experience with it I'd have to disagree.
