Lovely day to go for a walk with the hounds. It is amazing where trees will start to grow from and how big they will get. Thanks for the pics.
Great pics! Thanks for bringing FHC along. Looks like a great day, and that tree is crazy! Hounds are having a blast!
Beautiful early spring hike! We didn't meet a soul, and were making the first tracks in the snow all day.
Beautiful, and such vistas. I really like the one with the waterfall. I don't know how you get the dogs to behave like that, but good for you (and them) Are you using the kennel in the bed of the truck for transport? I was watching some vids about Acadia on YouTube this Am very entertaining. I haven't been over there for a couple years. Need to get my backside in gear and get moving.
Great pictures- x 2 on the vistas AND keeping them put! Looks like a beautiful day, glad you brought us along!!
I did buy a used box off Uncle Henry's, but it didn't suit my needs very well, so I sold it and built my own. Truck bed dog box | Firewood Hoarders Club
Awesome day. thanks for sharing with all of us. that is one season we don't hike with the hounds. Too cold on our almost hairless dogs.
I let Bailey, the little Jack/Beagle ride in the cab of the truck with me on the way home, she shivers in the house even when it's 70.
Thanks for the pics, yours are always among the best and I look forward to them. I've heard of horse whisperers, but you Dave, just might be the dog whisperer.
Found a new trail today, goes up the opposite side of a mountain I frequent a lot. I met some guys on atvs up there a few weeks ago, I had no idea atvs could get up the mountain, it was quite steep, impressive what those machines can do. Blackflies are out!
Father's Day hike: My wife and daughters are out of town for a week, so I took my fur-children for a hike to celebrate. Sitting on top of a precipice. We've been working hard on the "wait" (stay) command. A selfie with my #1 son. Beautiful crystal clear water. Many of the smaller spring fed lakes don't have much life in them because they are too acidic. Hounds in the falls, this is usually a torrent, it's been very dry here. We met a young couple from South Carolina on their honeymoon with their 1 year old Blue Tick female. Her name is Pepper, the boys took a particular liking to her, I think because she was hot and spicy. We finished up the hike together, and Pepper jumped right into my truck! I sent this pic to my wife, telling her I picked up another hound. She did not react well, so I had to let on quickly that it was just a joke, she didn't find it very humorous.
