As I was just starting to split up a bunch of Ash.... This splitter came with the house we bought in Sept. of '06, and I have no idea how long the PO owned it. Anyway, is this a replaceable part, or do I need the whole shebang? (No, not a whole new splitter) This is on the opposite end......it says Energy.
Nah, no Magilla Gorilla here. I had just split a round and pushed the lever to retract, and it popped. Fatigue is my guess. It's a cast part. It's the little cover piece held on with a couple allen screws.
Yep. The lever attaches to it. I may have found a replacement part, but there also may be different versions depending on the model. Valve Lever Bracket - 718-0523 I have no idea.......yet.
Yeah, there's that........... Not breakin' my heart too bad with this heat. I shouldn't have been out there anyway. Supposed to cool to mid 70's by Tues.
See if this helps: Energy Hydraulic IPL part # 6 626264B bracket with screws http://www.energymfg.com/pdf/17498X.pdf Log Splitter Valve and Accessories by Energy® Manufacturing Company, Inc. $16.97 Ebay has the MDT for $16.99 free ship- energy may just be the hydraulics used on many log splitter brands.
Thanks ChipsFlyin , that's the exact part I found, and it seems to match the broken bracket. Is there any major pressure there to be concerned about? Doesn't seem so.
I feel a little silly now, since I should have looked first, then asked for verification later, but hey, it gave you guys something to do.......right? Right? Doesn't look like I can get it from TSC, so I may have to order and wait. Unless of course, someone finds another source. That's what's great about this place. So many folks helping with info.
Magilla Who? Just kidding. Remember it well. Get it fixed papadave, so you can finish up your fortress walls
You betcha bud, master plan in progress. In the meantime, I flushed the Jeep radiator Friday, and it still wants to overheat, so back to plan A for a replacement ASAP.
I was thinking about doing some searching for you Dave but, the groundhogs kept showing up and had to go to sneak up on em.
