I have a couple of college young men staying with us this summer. I told them they could stay with us for $100 each per month, including food. One said, "Are you sure, you know I eat more than that?" No problem, they are good kids. I mentioned one about a year ago When is burning season over this year? | Page 7 | Firewood Hoarders Club , and his brother is with us as well. Well, no surprise, I went out this evening to cut some logs, and they came a runnng when they heard the saw. We loaded up the truck real quick and got it stacked. They liked my po-folks sawbuck. Soon they were both splitting, competing with each other for who could bust the knarlyest rounds. We three split about a half a cord in a few minutes. Yessir, this is going to work out well I just hope I stll have trees still standing when they leave in a couple of months! Good kids, very respectful, hard working, intelligent, and strong. I know their Mom, and she is rightfully proud of them.
Good to hear they are having fun with the work. Sounds like they are appreciating what you have to offer. Have fun!
And so it continues ... today when I got home from work, one of them says, "Do you want to go fill your truck again?" Me, "No, not tonight." Him, "Ok, I stacked what we split yesterday, let me know when you want to split some more."
