Firewood Hoarders Club , it looks like this will get on the schedule before the middle of next week, I'll beat the heat by starting early. We haven't added much beech to our wood inventory this year but the sugar maple is making up for it.
This smaller but easy to work with Sugar Maple had a widowmaker for about two years which finally came down, it's on the list.
I'm thinking the bigger Sugar Maple across the trail will get bucked up tomorrow before it gets hot which means someone will hear a chainsaw early in the morning.
I bucked up most of this Maple, the bigger part next to the tree will be pulled away because the main trunk of the damaged tree is very weak and dangerous. I did bring one trailer load home, I was out of the woods by eleven.
I will be hauling some junky pine to the town wood dump tomorrow but maybe after that I can get another two loads of Maple out.
Can you ask Mrs. Backwoods Savage if she can do a dance in really short shorts that will send us about two inches of rain, please report back in ten minutes with her answer.
I decided to haul out one load early this morning, we have some bigger stuff left that will get split back in the woods before I bring it out.
