A local fruit farmer asked me to take out a few rows of pear trees for him. Don't mind if I do. :D Not the best stuff but certainly good enough for the shoulder season. Most of this stuff is dry enough to burn this season. Not a bad Sunday. image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg

    Nice score!

Pear is great firewood, high btu's like Apple wood.

Take all you can get. With a trailer like that, it'll be easy work.

Burned my first pear this past year and was very pleasantly surprised. It burns hotter than you might think. Nice to mix with ash and I noticed a purplish/blue hue to the flames when really hot. I like it...

A lot of the bigger stuff is hollowed out with dry rot, so I might try it as is. I'm guessing that there is about 3 more trailer loads to get out, if the btu's are as good as what I am hearing, this wood may take me well past Christmas this season. Stihl MS200t is a pleasure to use with stuff like this. Might have to save alittle for the bbq, never thought of that.

Great! But I'm not so sure I'd be burning that in shoulder season. It should be good for mid-winter.
