She is a crack shot for sure. Many years ago I bought her a nice Ruger .22 that fit her very nicely and it has a good scope for short distance. I think her high was 36 chipmunks one year but this year she is on a roll. 20 down so far. But today, she would make John Wayne proud. She shot one from the hip!!!!!! Shot once and was just a bit high and the stupid chipmunk didn't move. His mistake as the second shot was right on....and from the hip. Beware anyone who wants to prowl around this place!
Some people have hidden talents and it takes awhile for them to show up, I guess shooting from the hip is just her thing. Next will be shooting over her shoulder with a mirror.
I want to know who's breeding chipmunks at your place! My house backs up to the woods and I might only see a couple of 'em a year. But 20 put in chipmunk heaven already?! Wow!
Thats a lot of chipmunks. sounds like an infestation to me. We once had a cat who kept that population in check. Now, no outside cat so my son is popping them off with an air gun. Darn chippies can be very destructive.
Well, a couple years ago she got 36 but didn't start shooting until mid or late summer. I think she'll easily top that this year. Even after getting those 36, we had no shortage. Get rid of a dozen and another dozen show up. It is downright amazing how many we have here. When we had a dog, he took care of a lot of them but we haven't had a dog for some time now.
