I don't think a lot of members realized how much time and effort you and your family put into those first offerings of Swag Shoppe products. We just reaped the benefits.

I put in an order for an orange FHC decal last night. Looking forward to putting it on my rear window on the pickup.

No this is not a commercial. I just switched our auto insurance to Progressive. Almost $400 less per year with same coverage. Awesome. Also, I will get automatic emails, I do all my bills online and depend on those notifications. It was too easy, however they do it they called up my vehicles and vin numbers on the computer and I now have a policy after a 15 minute phone call. Very cool!

Worked outside all day today on the horse paddock area. Weather was cool in the 50's and it was nice to work in. Cleaned up two old burn piles by using the grapple to pick out everything of any size left in them and moving it to a newer burn pile outside of the paddock area. Large half-burned stumps and logs and some large rocks. What a tool for the job. After that was done I switched back to the bucket and leveled both those areas off. Now to let them dry out a bit and then get them into nice shape to be planted. After watching the kids for a bit after they got off the bus I was able to get back at it when their Mom got home for work and some errands. Moved a bunch of rocks away from the barn area. Slow but sure it is getting there.

The forms are pulled off the sidewalk concrete and the garage slab repair areas this evening. Nice, but I should have added a little more concrete to one area of the sidewalk. Figures!

Took a ride to the cottage this evening after my "home chores" were done. The forms for the footing and slab area is all prepped with the floor drain in place. Re-bar and netting all laid. I guess it has to be inspected first and then poured. Maybe this week yet??? Hope so

    Watching the DVR'd episode now.
Mrs. Eric VW washed the front gable of the house this evening when I got home from work.
She threw everything but the kitchen sink at it. She's not a ladder fan. But she done gooder. 3 more sides of the house to go. I told her several times how proud of her I am.
I'll be taking her out to dinner Saturday nite, whether it's finished or not!

I became a true Dutchman this morning. I rented a bike from the hotel in Amsterdam and rode it to work. 12k, took me about 45 minutes. Quite a different experience. Had to rely on google maps to show me the way through the city. Once I got out of town the path paralleled the Tram line that I was familiar with.

Sorry, no selfies as I was riding.

Check insurance every couple of years, staying loyal doesn't always produce the best rates for the same coverage.

I had Progressive for my bike insurance for years and years. I now have Markel after Progressive wanted to raise my rates $200/year over what I had been paying after I got divorced (I had no tickets or anything on my record). Markel charges me $140/year less than what I had been paying. Changed car insurance carriers also for the same issue. Funny, Ex's rates didn't get hiked even though he had tickets in the last year, and two accidents in the last 5.

Me, they wanted to raise rates - I don't think so, go pound sand. And it isn't a credit score thing - I have excellent credit and his is not as good. Nor is it a bundling thing - don't know why the companies I had been with for years (as much as 20) decided they didn't want me for a customer anymore. They're loss.

Caffeine badly needed and going down. (Insert yawning smiley here.) Hope to make some more progress today on finishing off under some trees in horse area. I'm trying to get this acreage to the point where I can mow it wherever the horses don't eat it. Places under trees where brush wants to grow, etc. it is time to fire up the saw today and start cutting some stumps down further. :saw:

Plesant. Between 50 and 70 (or should I say between 10 and 20C) with sun and clouds. A little on the cool side in the evening to be dining outside.

Someone at work sees a deer in the area and tells other people. They all gather together at the windows to take a look. Someone says they are worried about it trying to cross the road (fairly busy road) so a bunch of them go traipsing out there to, I don't know what they thought - maybe herd it away from road?

Newsflash people, that doe got there all by her lonesome, wasn't headed for the road, and may have had a fawn bedded down in the brush or trees. It's not like she was in the middle of Manhattan, NY - there are plenty of places she could have, and probably would have gone, if she hadn't felt threatened by you "helping". I'm guessing she knows this area and looks like she has survived at least a couple of years without your trying to keep her from crossing the road. Naturally, the doe gets spooked by people approaching and goes into the road that they didn't want it go into.

Nice going folks. You live in NH, you should know better - you should know just to let the wildlife be. Your interference just endangered not only the deer, but all the vehicles on that road at that time. :headbang:

Fortunately, the drivers were paying attention and slowed for the deer. She, of course didn't want to cross the road but felt she had no choice because of the 4 people "helping", so it took her several false starts and many opportunities for her and vehicles to have a bad morning before she finally crossed. And, if there was a fawn in there, its mom just got chased off :picard:.

I'm heading to RI after work to look at a dump trailer. 6x12 with a 12,000lb gv capacity. It'll be big enough to tow a skid steer and large enough to put 2.5 seasoned cords on.
Anyone have a dump trailer that can give me some tips on what to look for when I go later today? Thanks
