That stuff doesn't rot in a pile like that on the ground?

Yes sir, it sure will....I have been splitting and moving piles constantly lately..... I have been slowly collecting skids from work, and I will be stacking my wood on them soon....

I will say this from past experience...... If you have green wet logs, they will go bunk ALOT faster than split green wood on the bottom of a big pile.....

Well boys sadly I have found out someone else is getting in on my shagbark hickory spot.... Ya know I am completely cool with someone else getting the wood, as I don't OWN it.... The thing that sucks, is they have a damm bobcat and a nice azz dump trailer to haul it with..... Now i am not trying to be a D*CK, it's just frustrating for a poor ol country boy like me be to cutting and hand loading this wood alone by hand, and some one else just loads it in with equipment!!
    1. Well sorry for the rant guys........ I cut and hand loaded 4 good loads.......hell maybe one day I will have a dump trailer and bobcat to help me....

Oh and yes that's my ms461 in the pic...I absolutely love my 461, I used it and my ms362 today... The ms362 has surprised me with its power and torque.... I used the ms362 in 18" plus hickory and she never batted an eye!!!!

How much is there? You got 4 loads and he is loading a dump trailer with a bobcat? Will this spot dry up soon?

I see the ones where you have your red truck cut up wood and a few saws.

    No bobcat pics?

Pics working for me.... keep in mind big equipment is fun and handy but someone also has to pay that bill.

Keep it simple if it's working, and based on your pile o' wood, it is.

I sometimes get my loggers to load my freinds dump or my 16ft trailer with logs. Sure can get a lot of wood fast that way.

Ya another problem is the 91 2-wheel chevy I am using right now can't take a huge load, and I don't have time to fix leaf springs right now.... So I will have to just do a little smaller loads than usual..... All in all its better than nothing, but I have got to find another truck...

    Air shocks!:D

I have a 1980 k10. It can't take much either. I just tow either the 4x8 or the 16ft tandem trailer to get more per trip. It seems to get the same mileage pulling 4000 pound trailer as it does just a load in the bed... horrible is the mpg I get if interested!

Can be much worse than my 99 F350 V10 4.77 rear end- 8mpg empty or full or pulling the bobcat. Tad better down hill or with a tailwind.

Yep were equal. But you can do way more work per gallon of gas than I can!
