That's what I saw the last time I looked, I think for this area the heavier stuff comes in just before 12.

We had a good rain today but it would've been nice to get more.

Busy day today. After Campinspecter got back from his walk, it was breakfast. Then we moved wood into the boiler room. Should be the last time until almost Sept before we have to do it again. I actually got some gardening done, watched the Blue Jays beat Boston and then more gardening done after lunch. the backs of my legs are going to tell me tomorrow that I am out of shape for this.

here are my peonies and seeing as I have weeded the flower bed, I can post pictures of it. the fence is to keep the deer out and my orange rose is doing so much better not being eaten.

I cut the lavender back at least a third and it has come back very well. this is the largest bush. I am going to try and make lavender cookies tomorrow.

the shorter branches of this rose are still trying to recover from being eaten. the flowers are on the section that wasn't eaten as much. I have a shoot coming up from just under the ground. I am hoping it is not from the original root stock but it will be interesting to see what colour the roses are if it blooms.

Caffeine time. Missed a couple hours of sleep last night due to storm. We had some serious lightning and thunder. And several heavy down pours. I had put the grass seed down just before dinner thinking all the heavy rain had gone by. :picard:

What did you get up your way thewoodlands ?

It's Monday and I can barely move. My hands and legs tell me that I over did it yesterday. But I can go for our morning walk this morning so the foot is better. We have fog this morning and it is supposed to clear off and be nice all week.

Not too shabby for a Monday evening. I'm beat though. Been up since yesterday morning. Didn't sleep on the plane last night and went to work today.

Waiting in line to donate some blood. I haven't in a while, so it's time to get back in the habit.

Today was work from 6-2, took a few hours off from work this afternoon and went for a three mile walk/run and then gave blood. After that I was tired. Ate some pasta with butter and Parmesan cheese and relaxed. Drinking lots of fluids and chillin out while my littlest daughter takes a jet bath. These kids are so spoiled, I mean loved, loved. Ya.

    Well....

One of my childhood/school friends picked out a pup a short while ago.
    So theres 1 spoken for..

A guy and his lady came by after work and are trying to decide between 3 pups.
Wish the young lady was single.... Ya know what i mean?

    Im heart broken.

Im a man but my eyes are heavy with..stuff.

    This evening has been rough.
Ive got my self way too attached to these pups and that is 100% normal
    and.....beautiful. I said it..

Im somewhat sure that my most favorite pup has been spoken for and
is going to a new home in roughly 3 to 4 weeks.
Im pretty torn up right now...

I want to tell the new owners no, but i KNOW they will be excellent parents.
This is the One dog that i had planned on keeping out of the 9.
I havent been this sad in years.

And then i look to my left and Champ, the yellow lab that we've had health
problems with is laying on the floor next to where i am sitting.
Sound asleep, dreaming peacefully. I love dogs, i love pets...

Alot has happened to me over the last 12 months.
I dont know how much more i can take.

    Life.

No shame in admitting what you did.

I bet it would be tough to let all those little guys go. Pets, especially dogs can really fill some voids left behind from other loss or trouble in our lives. Maybe that's one of the reasons they were put here on this earth?

Hopefully knowing they can make a difference for another family will ease the pain of letting go.
