I only got to make a few cuts with mine so far but they were very encouraging!

Lol. Super busy right now and don't get on the forums as much as I should. And i can't seem to get notifications all the time from her so it's a bad deal. Lol.

Just when I think I have it all figured out, a Makita 64cc previous rental comes available in my area from HD. $322. Going to go check it out before it is too late!

Does anyone know how many times they rent these saws or how many hours are on them before they sell them?
I wonder if they will let you take the muffler off
Seems like a pretty good price for a used $650 dollar saw

They should be able to give you a report stating how many times it was rented out. The rental saws may have little cosmetic issues but are generally solid! Pop an oem 7910 top end in it and you have a 79cc saw for around 500 bucks!

Have we ever "optimized" this craftsman anyway?

You go to the Home Depot click on tools and Truck Rental then go down and click on used tools for sale

I have done some work on it. New chain, new spark plug, getting Tygon lines, new filter, thorough cleaning, ethanol free fuel. Mostly minor things, but I have noticed a huge difference. I am also getting a 14" bar and chain for it for the tighter work. May muffler mod once I am a little more comfortable.

Other than cosmetics, I am not sure how to choose between all of them. I will ask what accessories will come with, and see if they can tell me rental history, but I don't know what else to use as determining factors.
