Dryer than a cockspout here as well.
had some thunderstorms pop up all around me 2 days ago barely drizzled over my house.
Saturday & Sunday look more promising for some rain.... we need it

My deal is I have to continue to work my shift schedule at least through the end of September.
But my employment status changed from non-exempt to exempt so no more time and half. also shot myself in the foot on working Holidays - those were double time and half:doh:

Boy what a beautiful sunrise and after an early morning couple of hours of rain... Outside listening to the birdies and the water droplets. I was going to have to go water the garden this morning, but God went ahead took care of that for me. So I'm going to soak in some morning coolness, drink some coffee and chill for a bit...

The last I heard on the scanner they were still trying to locate where the smoke was coming from.

Good morning, rain and thunderstorms guessed at by the pros. It's the workhouse for me this weekend, as always, hope this finds you good people well.

Work is sending me to Amsterdam tomorrow, spending the week then driving to the UK till the Thursday after. :( I'm so upset as you can probably imagine. :( Unfortunately I do have a buttload of work to do so it ain't going to be all fun. :( The drive to the Chunnel is going to be in a right hand drive car, my co-worker from the UK says I'm driving him back. I guess I'll get to pretend I'm a mailman.

Me and a buddy hit the beach around 5am for some surf fishing. Only caught a sand shark and a huge skate. We did however watch a guy only 150yds south of us haul in a 45" striper right before we had to pack it up. :(

We are just below typical rainfall totals right now, I'm guessing tomorrow will put us in the black again.

Yep, me too - 100 hours or 40 hours, get the same pay. I do get to take time off for dentist, eye doctor and other appointments without docking my pay. However, since I put in 10-11 hours per day, I never, ever end up with less than 40 hours in anyway. Even that week I was out two days because of internal issues that had me in the emergency room, I put in 36 hours. Oh, and that 52 hours I put in during shut down (because someone else didn't do their job the previous 2 months), while the rest of the company got paid to stay home for the holidays? Yeah, I got the same 40 hour paycheck they did and nothing extra but an atta-girl.

In short, I would gladly take salary with straight time OT!

It just came across the scanner, they're back up in that same area tonight so we'll take the heavy rains coming in.

I'm hoping for 1.5 inches of rain, I think they're calling for 1-2 inches of rain for this area.

Fingers crossed here for a good amount of rain. I'm going to wait until it has rained a while before I put the grass seed down. The ground is so dry I don't want to put it down and have it just get washed into the lowest areas. Hopefully after it rains a while I can go out and spread it and it will stick better. We will take a trip to town in the morning to get a couple more sections of hose so we can keep it watered well.

Coffee going in the gas tank. Getting ready to hang the next door neighbors kitchen cabinets. He managed to almost cut his toe off tearing them out. (Working in sandals....captain facepalm )

They have been without a kitchen for a week. So today, myself and another guy are giving them their kitchen back free of charge. :dex:

Yea I'm right smack dab in the purple. Gonna run some errands shortly then batten down the hatches for this evening.

Smart move with the seed Gasifier . With the ground as dry as it is, most of the seed would just wash away.
