Anyone have any ideas what I could use these for? I've got about a half dozen or so, they need to be used or tossed. They're aluminum tanks. I know we have some creative folks here, love to get some ideas. Thanks, JB
Yep, Craigslist. Sell them to the kegerator/homebrew people. The refill place closest to me exchanges tanks so the fact that they are aluminum might not be that important.
I'd like to see one used as the center piece of a wind chime, just cut off the bottom and slap a dinkledong to it....
Uhmmm...... no. I was thinking about cutting them up and making planters or something. I may take them to the shoot in a few weeks and have Bill fill them with Tannerite. If someone really wants one, PM me Otherwise, I'll Craigslist them, plenty of Mary Jane growers use them in their operations.
Filling such a solid object with tannerite and blowing it up is a horrible idea. If a piece of that came flying at you, you couldnt blink fast enough.
Good way to end up on the scrapyards sh...ahhh, poo list I have a couple of those high pressure aluminum canisters at work that are empty...I was thinking of commandeering one to make myself an auxiliary motorcycle (or whatever I'm working on) gas tank...you know, one of those small portable fuel tanks that can be hung wherever for when you have the usual fuel source unhooked...they get used a lot in motorcycle and small engine shops...handier than a shirt pocket they are! EDIT: I just realized the title was 20# tanks...I was thinking of smaller fire extinguisher sized canisters. Are these 20# tanks big like a propane grill tank? What are 20# Co2 tanks used for generally?
These tanks are standard soda/beer pusher size, 24" tall x 7.5" diam., pretty big for an aux. fuel tank on a motorcycle. This size has been used previously for .50BMG reactive targets at 1000yrds +, either Tannerite or dynamite filled.
